AstralPool Acqua Dos, Diaphragm Dosing Pump.
AstralPool Acqua Dos is a diaphragm dosing pump that delivers liquid pool chemical into the pipework through an injection valve. Çilek Havuz supplies Acqua Dos through quotes and as part of its projects. The series comes in 4 control modes: manual analogue, manual digital, proportional and pH/ORP. In every mode the 5 l/h and 10 l/h models work at 10 bar and the 32 l/h model at 4 bar. The supply is 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz. Electrode kits are sold separately.

Users and applications
Acqua Dos is chosen for pools where liquid chemical is delivered by a pump. The control mode is decided first. A pool where a fixed dose is enough takes a manual model. A plant managed by a water meter or an automation signal uses the proportional model. Where the pump is to measure the value itself and dose accordingly, the pH/ORP model is chosen. The model is then set by flow rate and line pressure.

Installation and compatible equipment
Every pump comes with an installation kit: PVDF foot filter, injection valve, PVC suction tube, PE delivery tube and mounting bracket. The pump is fixed to the wall or floor next to the chemical container. The injection valve is fitted on the return line after the filter. The pump is wired so that it is energised only while the filter pump is running, so no chemical is delivered when there is no flow.

- The PVC suction tube with foot filter is placed in the chemical container.
- The injection valve is fitted on the return line after the filter outlet.
- The PE delivery tube is run from the pump outlet to the injection valve.
- On the pH/ORP model, the electrode kit is connected and calibrated.

Maintenance checkpoints
The foot filter and injection valve are checked regularly for crystallisation and blockage. The chemical container is replaced before it runs empty; a pump running on an empty container delivers air. On the pH/ORP model, the electrode is calibrated periodically. Before a long shutdown, the pump head is flushed by running it with clean water.

The flow is chosen by the daily chemical requirement and the line pressure at the injection point. On Acqua Dos, the 5 l/h and 10 l/h models work against a back pressure of up to 10 bar. The 32 l/h model delivers more liquid but is limited to 4 bar. If the line pressure exceeds 4 bar, the 10 l/h model is chosen.

The difference is in how it is set; the flow and pressure options are the same. On the manual analogue model, the dose is set with the front panel switch in the 0-20% or 0-100% range. On the manual digital model, it is set with the keypad and the display shows pulses per minute. Neither model takes an external signal or a measurement.

The electrode does not come with the pump; the Complete pH Electrode Kit or the Complete REDOX Electrode Kit is chosen separately. The kits include a 6 m cable, a level sensor and calibration solution. The REDOX kit contains a gold-tipped electrode and an electrode holder. The kit type is decided by the value to be measured.

Both series offer manually adjusted dosing pumps; the difference is in the range of options. AstralPool Exactus comes only at 5 l/h, with 7 or 10 bar pressure, and is limited to stock. AstralPool Acqua Dos offers 5, 10 and 32 l/h on its manual models; the same series also includes proportional and pH/ORP models.

The pump head is PVDF, the diaphragm PTFE and the check valve ceramic. These are the parts in contact with the chemical. Acqua Dos is installed with a separate pump and a separate container for each chemical. The compatibility of the chemical with these materials is checked against its safety data sheet before the pump is chosen.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The proportional model accepts a 4-20 mA analogue signal or a digital signal; the digital signal uses 1:n and n:1 ratios. This model also has manual adjustment. The flow options are 5, 10 and 32 l/h, and the 32 l/h model is limited to a back pressure of 4 bar. The pump runs on a 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz mains supply.
