AstralPool Optima Next is a dosing pump that measures and doses the pH or Redox value with its own controller. Çilek Havuz supplies Optima Next through quotes and as part of its projects. The pump delivers 5 l/h at 8 bar and runs on 90-265 V, 50-60 Hz. Calibration is done with a single button. The electrode is selected separately: pH Electrode and Calibration Kit or Redox Electrode and Calibration Kit.

Users and applications
Optima Next is chosen for pools where a single value is to be held automatically without installing a separate measurement panel. A pump set up with a pH electrode doses pH regulator, and a pump set up with a Redox electrode doses disinfectant. If both values are wanted automatically, two pumps are installed. The level control input and remote shutdown input allow the pump to be managed together with the container and the water flow.

Installation and compatible equipment
The pump is fixed to a flat surface by its base foot. The selected electrode is fitted to the pipe at the filter outlet. The injection point is located after the electrode; the electrode measures the pool water and is not affected by the chemical injection. The level input is connected to the probe in the container, and the remote shutdown input to the filter pump line.

Maintenance checkpoints
The electrode efficiency check shows the condition of the electrode on the display. When efficiency drops, the electrode is cleaned or replaced with a new one. Calibration is repeated at regular intervals. For pH measurement without a PT100, the water temperature is updated manually as the seasons change. During the winter shutdown, the electrode is not left to dry out.

Two separate measurements and two separate dosing lines are set up for pH and chlorine. With Optima Next, this arrangement is built with two pumps: one doses pH regulator with a pH electrode, the other doses disinfectant with a Redox electrode. For a pool that wants both values in a single housing, AstralPool Dual pH EV can be chosen.

Both pumps measure and dose a single value; the difference is in pressure, flow rate and package contents. AstralPool Optima Next delivers 5 l/h at 8 bar and its electrode is sold separately. AstralPool Control Basic Next comes with a flow rate of 1.5 or 3.0 l/h; the electrode and mounting kit are included in the package depending on the model.

PT100 is a temperature sensor that corrects the pH measurement for water temperature. On Optima Next, the PT100 is optional; when fitted, temperature compensation is automatic. Without the sensor, the water temperature is entered manually from the menu. In an outdoor pool where the temperature varies widely with the season, the PT100 reduces measurement drift. Redox measurement does not need a temperature input.

Optima Next calibration is started with a single button and proceeds automatically. The electrode is dipped in turn into the calibration solutions supplied with the kit. Calibration is repeated at regular intervals. The electrode efficiency check on the display shows when the electrode needs cleaning or replacing. Before calibration, the electrode tip is rinsed with clean water.

If the remote shutdown input is connected to the filter pump line, dosing stops when the water flow stops. This connection is made during installation and prevents chemicals from building up in a line without flow. The level control input monitors the chemical running low in the container. Together, the two inputs prevent dosing with an empty container or into a still line.

The pump delivers 5 l/h at 8 bar. The power supply range is 90-265 V, 50-60 Hz. The pump controls only one of the pH or Redox values, and its electrode is sold separately. If a lower flow rate is needed, it is compared with Control Basic Next, which has a flow rate of 1.5 or 3.0 l/h.
