Zodiac pH Link is a pH regulation module that fits the salt chlorinators of the Zodiac eXO iQ family and corrects the pH of pool water. Çilek Havuz supplies pH Link through quotes and as part of its projects. The module measures with a glass-bodied sensor over a range of 0.0-12.0 pH with an accuracy of 0.1 pH. Its peristaltic pump doses acid at a flow rate of 1.7 l/h. The factory setting is pH 7.2.

Users and applications
Zodiac pH Link is chosen for pools that use a salt chlorinator and where the pH keeps rising. Chlorine production by electrolysis raises the pH; adding acid by hand requires regular monitoring. The module measures the pH continuously and doses acid when it goes above the target. It is sufficient when only pH control is wanted.

Installation and compatible equipment
The module plugs into the control unit of the compatible chlorinator. The pH sensor is placed in a hole drilled in the filter line with the POD kit; the hole is drilled with the 22 mm hole saw in the box. The pump suction hose is connected to the acid container and the discharge hose to the injection point. Before first start-up, the sensor is calibrated with pH 4 and pH 7 solutions.
- The module is fitted to the control unit of the chlorinator.
- A 22 mm hole is drilled in the filter line and the POD kit is fitted.
- The pH sensor is fitted to the POD kit.
- The suction hose is connected to the acid container, the discharge hose to the injection point.
- The sensor is calibrated with pH 4 and pH 7 solutions.

Maintenance checkpoints
The pH sensor has a glass body and its measuring accuracy depends on calibration. Calibration is repeated at the start of the season and whenever the reading does not match a hand test kit. The acid container is replaced before it runs empty; the pump is not run dry. Over winter the sensor is removed from the line and not left dry.
- The sensor is recalibrated with pH 4 and pH 7 solutions.
- The reading is compared with Pool Water Test Strips and Kits.
- The peristaltic pump hose is checked for cracks and leaks.

The module connects to the control unit of the device. The module is optional and is purchased as a separate product. It does not work on its own without a chlorinator.

The module doses acid only, that is, it works with pH reducer liquid. In pools where chlorine is produced by salt electrolysis, the pH tends to rise; pH Link corrects this rise with acid. The flow rate of the peristaltic pump is 1.7 l/h. When the pH needs to be raised, this is done by hand with a separate chemical.

The factory setting is a target value of pH 7.2. pH Link measures the pH of the water continuously and doses acid when it rises above this value. pH 4 and pH 7 calibration solutions are included in the box. The measuring range is 0.0-12.0 pH and the measuring accuracy 0.1 pH; the sensor works in water at 0-60 °C.

A two-stage semi-automatic calibration is used. The sensor is placed first in the pH 4 solution and then in the pH 7 solution, and the module records each value itself. The box contains three each of pH 4 and pH 7 calibration solutions. Calibration is repeated at the start of the season and whenever the reading drifts.

pH Link measures only the pH and doses acid. Zodiac Dual Link adds an ORP sensor; it also adjusts the chlorine output of the chlorinator according to the ORP value. The factory settings of Dual Link are pH 7.2 and ORP 700 mV. If chlorine output is to be set by hand, pH Link is sufficient.

The box contains the module, the pH sensor, three each of pH 4 and pH 7 calibration solutions, a 22 mm hole saw and the POD kit. The acid container and the pH reducer chemical are not in the box and are purchased separately. The module measures 30.5 x 18.1 x 11.5 cm.

pH Link has a 2-year warranty. The sensor is a Ø12 mm glass-bodied combination type; it works at a water velocity of up to 2 m/s and a temperature of 0-60 °C. For this reason, the sensor is mounted at a point in the filter line where the flow does not exceed this velocity. A 22 mm hole saw is also supplied in the box with the sensor.
