A pool control panel is an electrical cabinet that protects the filter pump against overload, schedules its running hours and supplies the underwater lighting; a pool automation system makes this control remotely manageable through a phone app, a gateway and expansion modules. This page covers single pump, pump and lamp, and dual pump panels, the Command Connect panel and Connect & Go cabinets, expansion modules, gateways, the Smart Plug and the iQPUMP Wi-Fi module. Selection starts with the current of the pump motor: on the electrical panels, types A, B, C and D cover the 1.6 to 10 A range in four steps.

Choosing the panel type
On the electrical control panels, types A, B, C and D cover 1.6-2.5, 2.5-4, 4-6.3 and 6-10 A respectively. The Command Connect panel and Connect & Go cabinets come only as Type C (4-6.3 A) and Type D (6-10 A). The current of the pump motor must stay within the range of the selected type.

Matching panel type to pump power
For a single-phase 230 V pump, type A suits a 1/4 HP pump, type B 1/2 HP, type C 3/4-1 HP and type D 1.5 HP. The same panels cover 3/4-1 HP to 4 HP on a 400 V three-phase pump.

Transformer for lighting
On the Command Connect panel a 100 or 200 VA transformer is selected. The Connect & Go Complete White and Full RGB cabinets include a 12 V AC 100 VA transformer. The dual pump panel carries a 230/12 V 600 VA transformer, and the three-lamp model adds 300 VA to this. The total lamp power must not exceed the transformer rating.

Remote control range for the pump
The iQPUMP Wi-Fi module works up to 150 m in an unobstructed open area and uses the 802.11b/g/n/ac standard. It is powered from the FloPro VS pump; a 4.3 m RS485 cable comes in the package.

+90 216 475 39 37First the current and phase of the pump motor are needed; the panel type is chosen by this current range. On the electrical panels, type A is for 1.6-2.5 A, type B for 2.5-4 A, type C for 4-6.3 A and type D for 6-10 A. If the panel will also supply underwater lamps, the number and power of the lamps are given as well. With this information we can choose the right panel together.

Yes, the panel works with a 220-240 V single-phase, 380-415 V three-phase and 220-230 V three-phase supply. On a 400 V three-phase pump, types A to D cover 3/4-1 HP, 1.5-2 HP, 3 HP and 4 HP respectively. The choice is based on the phase and voltage of the pump.

The dual pump panel comes in two model groups. One provides overload protection for 2 pumps and control of 2 underwater lamps, the other control of 1 pump and 3 underwater lamps. The lamp outputs are 300 W and are supplied through a 230/12 V 600 VA transformer. If app control is required, the Connect & Go Complete White and Full RGB cabinets also manage 2 pumps.

Command Connect connects to a phone app over Bluetooth, has protection class IP54 and manages the filter pump and lighting. Wi-Fi cloud control is added with iQBridge ZB. The Connect & Go cabinet has protection class IP65, works with a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection module and, depending on the model, manages up to 2 pumps. Additional lighting and pump control are added to the cabinet with expansion modules.

The connection method depends on the device. A filter pump, lighting or salt electrolysis unit that runs from a socket is switched on and off over Bluetooth with the Smart Plug. Compatible heat pumps and salt chlorinators use the iQBridge RS gateway; iQBridge ZB carries Bluetooth devices to the Wi-Fi cloud.

The iQPUMP Wi-Fi module connects FloPro VS pumps to the phone app and is powered from the pump. It works up to 150 m in an unobstructed open area and uses the 802.11b/g/n/ac standard. Without Wi-Fi, the pump is operated on site from the button and LED interface of the module.
