Pool valve models: manual and automatic multiport valves that direct the water path of a sand filter through six positions, a hydraulic safety valve that protects the waste line of the automatic valve, and a PVC ball valve that opens and closes the pipeline. The pressure gauge panel that shows the filter pressure and the PVC clamp set that holds the pipe in place are part of the same pipework.

Pool Valve Models, definition and selection criteria
A pool valve is the part of the filter and pump pipework that sets the direction of the water or opens and closes the line. This page consists of two groups. The first group contains the multiport valves mounted on the sand filter: on the manual model the six positions are selected with a handle and the connection sizes are 1½, 2, 2½ and 3 inch; on the automatic model a control unit changes the position, and the connection is 1½ or 2 inch. A hydraulic safety valve is fitted to the waste line of the automatic valve and prevents the water from draining unintentionally.

Selection
The second group contains the pipework parts: a Ø20-110 mm PVC ball valve, a pressure gauge panel with 3 and 6 kg/cm² scales, and a Ø50-160 mm PVC clamp set. The multiport valve is chosen by the valve inlet of the filter, the ball valve and clamp by the pipe diameter.

Multiport valve positions
The Multiport Valve and the Automatic Multiport Valve work with six positions. The positions are filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed; they are selected with a handle on the manual model and by the control unit on the automatic model.

Choosing the multiport valve size
The size is set by the valve inlet of the filter. The Multiport Valve has 1½, 2, 2½ and 3 inch connections, the Automatic Multiport Valve 1½ and 2 inch; on the automatic model the 1½ inch version weighs 4.27 kg and the 2 inch version 5.75 kg.

The PVC Ball Valve is available in nine sizes from Ø20 to Ø110 mm. The Ø20, 25, 32 and 40 mm models are PN16 and the Ø50, 63, 75, 90 and 110 mm models PN10.

Filter pressure scale
The Pressure Gauge Panel comes in two models with 3 kg/cm² and 6 kg/cm² scales. On both models the air purge is included in the panel and the weight is 1 kg; the scale is chosen according to the operating pressure of the line.

+90 216 475 39 37Both work with the same six positions; the difference is what changes the position. On the manual valve the position is selected with a handle and sizes go up to 3 inch. On the automatic valve the control unit manages backwashing by program, and the models are 1½ and 2 inch. The choice depends on the valve inlet of the filter and how maintenance will be carried out.

The multiport valve is chosen to the same size as the valve inlet of the filter. A filter with a 1½ inch inlet takes a 1½ inch valve, a filter with a 2 inch inlet a 2 inch valve. Manual models also offer side mount and top mount options. If the size differs, the valve will not fit the filter.

In installations with an automatic multiport valve on the sand filter, it is fitted to the waste line of the valve. It keeps the waste line closed during a power cut or while the valve is changing position, and prevents water from going to the drain unintentionally. There are two models: Ø50 mm solvent weld and 1½ inch BSP thread.

The valve is chosen to the same size as the diameter of the pipe line it is fitted to. Models are available in Ø20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90 and 110 mm. With one valve on the suction line and one on the discharge line of the pump, the pump can be removed without draining the pool.

The panel shows the pressure in the sand filter line and brings together at the same point the air purge that releases air trapped in the filter. The air purge is included in the panel and is not purchased separately. There are two models with 3 kg/cm² and 6 kg/cm² scales; the scale is chosen according to the operating pressure of the line.

The clamp holds the PVC pipe of the pipework in place along the line and is chosen to the same size as the outside diameter of the pipe. The set comes in eight sizes: Ø50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 140 and 160 mm. We can confirm the size and determine the right clamp together.
